TERMINATION CONFIGURATION |
Notes: When using differential SCSI, external termination must be used and termination on the controller and daughterboard must be disabled. I.e., all termination jumpers (JP1/1-JP1/5) should be opened. (See User Configurable Settings.) If Narrow SCSI (8-bit) is connected to any channel, the controller must be at one end of the bus with termination enabled (J5) on that channel. If dual mode system, terminate SCSI bus externally. |
MISCELLANEOUS TECHNICAL NOTES |
The DAC960SX controller (which can reside within a DAC9060SXI enclosure) interfaces between the host system and a disk array. The controller is installed with one of several distribution boards: DBX960X-3-UDR, DBX960S-6-FWR and DBX960S-6-UDR. A DBI960SX daughterboard can be installed with the latter two, providing a 3 channel upgrade. A battery backup unit can be installed with all. |

TERMINATION CONFIGURATION |
Notes: All termination jumpers (JP1/1-JP1/5) should remain closed on the daughterboard unless operating in dual host mode or using a differential SCSI distribution board. When using differential SCSI, external termination must be used and termination on the controller and daughterboard must be disabled. All termination jumpers (JP1/1-JP1/5 should be opened.) If dual host mode is not used, all JP1 termination jumpers should be closed. |
MISCELLANEOUS TECHNICAL NOTES |
The DBI960SX supports three SCSI channels. Two are drive channels and the third can be configured as either a second host channel or a third drive channel. |
