MISCELLANEOUS TECHNICAL NOTES |
Termination must be manually configured under two conditions. The ExpressPCI-DC will not automatically configure termination when narrow (8-bit) devices are attached to the internal connector and wide (16-bit) devices are attached to the external connector, or vice-versa. In these cases, the on-board terminators must be set to terminate high-order byte (the ExpressPCI-DC must lies at the end of the high-order bus). Refer to the ExpressPro-Tools Bus Configuration Utilities section in the ExpressPro-Tools Users Manual for appropriate settings. Active termination is strongly recommended. |
